Full Spectrum Solutions, the leading manufacturer of full spectrum light therapy fixtures, came to the California Lighting Technology Center for development of the I-Lite product. Michael Siminovitch Ph.D., the director of CLTC and Professor Patricia Harrison, UC Davis Chair of Design developed the I-Lite. This fixture created for the “ultimate user control”, could be used in different environments, such as the home, office, and hotel. Also, the I-Lite capitalizes in energy efficiency with the newest fluorescent technology: electronic ballast, color rendering and full spectrum. Finally, the I-Lite can be use as a light therapy fixture to treat Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).

I was responsible for the construction of the first version of the prototypes in the United States. Now, the final prototype is being used as a model for the final production in Mainland China.
