Simple, contemporary and functional are the three words to describe this furniture model, a design mentality that I have had throughout many of my designs. I believe that an attractive reception desk would give a positive impression within its environment. I believe that basswood and acrylic have the ability to demonstrate the potential beauty of this furniture.

The 1/16″ thick basswood and frosted acrylic has been mechanically cut and manually sanded, as well as the 1/4″ diameter hardwood supporting legs. Also, two basswood-made mobile file carts are designed to place beside or under the reception desk. Other materials that were used to construct this model included: clear glossy and silver metallic spray paints.
