Through the combination of the Eastern State Penitentiary ruins and the notion for an open pavilion, generated the concept for the Honey Bee Pavilion. Different elevations and positions of the archaeologies were the concept for a system of logic and movement to create the pavilion. Also, the pavilion is programmatically planned into three zones: production, administration and entertainment. A large portion of the hill was carved out and the result of the architecture thus created a new landscape.
